Le was such a warrior he had chosen not to let anyone know he was sick to carry that burden alone with the help from his wife until the very end. \nLe wasn't a complicated man and enjoyed the simpler things in life. Le loved to build the loudest stereos, especially if it was in a hatchback Honda. Le loved all things fantasy, especially dragons. He loved reading books and definitely tried making us read JRR Tolkien’s The Hobbit before it was a mainstream thing to do. Le was a passionate animal lover but any cat he came across had a new home regardless of the circumstance. He always wanted to bring a smile to your face and would do anything for you that he could. If you were a friend, he would consider you family and he loved his family fiercely. Le was such a goofy, fun-loving, and caring person that will be missed by all that knew him. \nLe often played the role of protector, being the oldest as we were growing up walking to school and helping momma how he could. He would make us the wildest ramen food concoctions, but he made sure we ate. I truly think he enjoyed being the oldest but the role he loved most was being a husband. Once he met his wife, she was the center of his universe, and they were joined at the hip since they met. Le had 18 years with the love of his life cut short by cancer. \n \nLe was preceded in death by his mother, Belinda Clarke. He is survived by his wife Juanita Argoe, Father Andy Argoe Jr, siblings Ashley Whitaker, Cary Whitaker, Jennifer Deluca, and Eddie Gaines and everyone Le thought of as family. As per Le’s request, the family is planning to spread his ashes at Myrtle Beach, SC at a future date. He was brave enough to ask her to marry him, even though that meant leaving “paradise” to move to Carrboro, NC. He often said that this was a decision he never regretted.\n\nTim loved his work at Weaver Street Market in Carrboro. Born on Clark AFB in the Philippine Islands to Karen Schwarzl (Kistler), and John W. Callender, Shawn lived an amazing life filled with love, friends, music, and family.\n\nShawn, a beacon of kindness and love, will forever reside in our hearts. His legacy, exemplified by his music and compassion, will continue to inspire and guide us. As we grapple with the loss of his physical presence, we find solace in knowing that his spirit lives on through his music. He has forever changed all of us who were blessed to call him son, brother, friend, grandson, uncle, and cousin.\n\nShawn's greatest passion was music. His love for it blossomed early, and his talent shone brightly throughout his life. He dedicated years to his craft, touring the United States with his bands: Eleven:54 and Ego vs Id from Baltimore, as well as The McNaughstys, an Irish punk band based in Los Angeles. After a 20 year absence, Eleven:54's impact on the Baltimore music scene remains significant, as evidenced by their recent inclusion on a list of the city's top 30 bands. The McNaughstys are fondly remembered as one of California's most entertaining live acts, having graced many of the state's most prestigious venues.\n\nWhile continuing his musical artistry, Shawn dedicated himself to serving others as a Mobile Phlebotomist in the Raleigh-Durham area. He found deep fulfillment in his work, providing compassionate care to patients of all ages. Known for his gentle touch and warm spirit, Shawn brought a spark of joy to those he encountered. He had a special place in his heart for the elderly, always taking the time to listen, share a story, or simply offer a comforting presence. His patients cherished his visits, many remembering him as a kind and compassionate man who always took time to enjoy their company.\n\nHis memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.\n\nMessages from his lifelong friends:\n‘‘We try not to think about the loss we’ve endured, and prefer to see it as the universe reclaiming a spirit only the vast expanse is capable of housing. This world was much too small for such a man.”\n\n“I strived to be as unapologetically myself as he did with such ease…”\n\n“Despite having the armor of a thousand warriors, Shawn had the kindest, most loyal heart, and he would have done absolutely anything for those he loved…”\n\nShawn Callender was preceded in death by his father, John Callender and his grandfather, Michael Kistler.\n\nSurviving: Mother Karen Schwarzl, step-father Eric Schwarzl, brother John W.
