She was born on October 27, 1943 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chamberlain, South Dakota and grew up on a farm near Kimball, South Dakota, where she developed a deep appreciation for hard work and family.\n\nKaren moved to Omaha, Nebraska and acquired her diploma in nursing with a specialization in anesthesia.  She became a dedicated nurse anesthetist, providing compassionate care to countless patients throughout her career, which she carried with her to New Orleans, Louisiana in 1975. In New Orleans, she spent the majority of her life, married to her husband, Jerry Richard Haskin MD, and raising their two children, Ashley and Jason.  She was also a devoted member of the Roman Catholic Church, living her faith through both service and compassion. She took mission trips to Nicaragua with her church to support communities in need, and she also gave generously of her time and heart to help those in her own local community.\n\nBeyond her personal and professional achievements, Karen was known for her love of tennis and her enthusiasm for watching sports of all kinds.  She especially enjoyed watching her New Orleans Saints. She cherished time spent with family and friends, finding joy in the simple pleasures in life.\n\nKaren is survived by her children, Jason Haskin (Zara Stepanyan) and Ashley Haskin Cho (Tara Cho); her grandchildren, Scarlett Haskin, Elliott Cho, and Whitt Cho; her stepchildren, Barbara Haskin and Daniel Haskin; her siblings, Norm Konechne (Sandee Konechne), Anne Konechne Richards (Dennis Richards); Leonard Konechne (Linda Konechne); and Chuck Konechne (Susan Konechne); and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellen and Charles Konechne; her husband, Jerry Richard Haskin; and her siblings, Raymond Konechne, Marge Konechne Todd, and Mary Konechne Calvin.\n\nIn accordance with her wishes, Karen was cremated at City of Oaks Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held in Kimball, South Dakota, during the annual family hunting gathering, where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband, parents, and siblings. Darrell spent his career working with many towing companies, which included Dean's Towing and Alan's Towing of Raleigh, NC. He loved the business and made many friends along the way. He was a huge NASCAR fan and attended many of the races.\n\nDarrell is survived by his daughter, Erika Pearce of Sarsota, FL; son Logan Pearce of Saratoga, WY, and step-son Dylan Massey of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by his sisters Joyce Pearce (Wayne) of Castalia, NC; Brenda Salisbury (Ted) of Cary, NC; Marsha Perry (Jessie) of Bunn, NC. He is survived by his step-brothers Larry Carter (Bea) of Youngsville, NC; Danny Carter (Cathy) of Youngsville, NC, and David Carter (Marilyn) of Benson, NC. Always by his side was his beloved dog, Bailey. Darrell is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his good friends, Janice Jones of Spring Hope, NC; Mark Hanshai of Raleigh, NC, and Mark Williams of Raleigh, NC.\n\nDarrell was preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Lorraine Pearce of Youngsville, NC; his mother, Minnie Pearce of Wake Forest, NC; his grandmother, Mattie Pearce of Youngsville, NC; his sisters Judy Ray of Wake Forest, NC and Mattie Bean of Youngsville, NC; and his brother, Steve Pearce of Louisburg, NC.\n\nIn lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal shelter or your favorite charity in Darrell's memory.\n\nA graveside service will be held on Monday, June 30th at 11am at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Youngsville, NC officiated by Kenneth Pearce. A reception will follow immediately after in the Fellowship Hall. I believe she got that from her Polish heritage. \n\nShe is preceded in death by her husband, Clomer Moudy; her mother, Retha Bartow; her brother-in- law, Lee Collins; her sister Carol Collins; her son, Richard Moudy; her brother, Larry Bartow; her sister-in-law, Jacquline Bartow.\n\nShe is survived by her two daughters, Retha Moudy and Tammy Moudy; grandchildren, Rick Marshall, Paul Marshall, David Ruwadi II (Sylricka), Summer Carney, Thomas Duncan, Brandon Duncan, Amanda Lane (Johnny),  Aubree Moudy,  Montana Moudy; brother, Frank Bartow; sisters Rose Rosson (Richard), Joann Jones (Jackie); sister-in-law, Donita Bartow; as well as several dear nephews and nieces. She was born in Lumberton, NC on June 17th,1938 to the late Furman and Lacy Lamb, where she was one of 7 siblings.  Her brothers were Maurice, Eldon, Ray, and Harold Dean Lamb. Her sisters were Marie Dean and Margie Floyd.  All her siblings preceded her in death, leaving her as the last little Lamb to be called home to glory.  \n\nShe graduated from Lumberton High School and attended East Carolina University where she obtained a B.S. in Primary Education (grades 1- 4). She enjoyed teaching in both public and private schools. She and her husband have been members of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC since 1972. There she enjoyed teaching children in Sunday school and singing in the adult choir. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who took great pride in her family.  She also deeply touched the lives of many children in the Brentwood Community and the surrounding Raleigh area. \n  \nShe is survived by her husband Frederick Russell Foster, 89 of Raleigh; her children Rusty Foster and his wife Betty Ann of Rolesville NC, Pam Scott and her husband Mike of Youngsville NC, Ryan Foster and his wife Cija of Cary NC; five grandchildren:  Michael Scott and his wife Kayla of Oxford NC, Brandon Scott of Zebulon NC, Eric Foster and his fiancé Ayiana of Baton Rouge LA, Logan and Ava Foster of Cary NC; and three great grandchildren: Brooks, Arianna and Jonathan Ryan of Oxford NC. \n\nA Celebration of Life will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Raleigh on Saturday June 21st, 2025, at 1:00PM. On June 9, 2025, at the age of 82, David passed away peacefully to be reunited in heaven with the love of his life, Margaret, his wife of 50 years.\n\nBorn in Barnsley, Yorkshire, David grew up with a love for the Barnsley football club and the Yorkshire Dales. After completing a degree in chemical engineering at Loughborough University, he began his career and his travels. He met his wife on a flight to Mexico City while working in Mexico.\n\nIn 1970, he married Margaret McKenna in her hometown in Arvagh, Ireland. Together, they raised three children, Stephen, Kieran, and Tara, instilling in them a love of travel and the values of kindness, perseverance, and appreciation for family.\n\nDavid is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, and his parents, Stephen and Mary Watson. He is survived by his three children and their spouses (Stephen and Natasha Watson, Kieran Watson, Tara and Brian Reichenbach) and six grandchildren (Sophie Watson, Kiera Watson, Luke Watson, Claire Watson, John Reichenbach, and Simon Reichenbach).\n\nDavid was known for his strength of character, his sharp wit, and the love he gave to his family and friends. He enjoyed playing golf, following football, aka soccer, and being the first in the carpool line to pick up his grandchildren from school. \n\nA private funeral service will be held at St. Mary Magdalene in Apex, North Carolina.
