He was a 1985 Graduate of Athens High School. After graduating High School, Mike (Andy) went on to join the Air Force where he started a career in IT. He was a member of the Air Force for 10 years. Mike (Andy) worked for MetLife for the past 9 years. Mike (Andy) met his wife Angel Petty in Montgomery, Alabama and married on July 11th, 1997. Mike  (Andy) loved his family and especially being a father. He loved coaching his kids’ sports teams, playing darts with his friends, and watching all sports, especially Ohio State football. He enjoyed game and movie nights with his family. He also loved summer night concerts, family vacations to the Florida beaches and Appalachian Mountains, and singing songs. He loved his pet English bulldogs Lola, Dixie, and Maggie. \nHe is preceded in death by his father Dudley Bumpass and his sister Beth Tremusini.  He is survived by his wife Angel Bumpass, his children Kali Bumpass, Cade Bumpass, Kaycee Bumpass, his parents Ann & Jim Wilhelm, his sister and brother in law Lynne and Dale Pittman, and many nieces and nephews. The daughter of the late Charles S. Walters Sr,  Marsha is survived by her mother, Lee D. Jean and her step-father, Don Jean. She grew up amongst three brothers: Chuck Walters, Timothy Walters (deceased) and Scott Walters (deceased). Marsha leaves behind other dear family members and many beloved friends.\n\nA veteran, Marsha served in the US Marine Corps for two years active duty, where she played the flute in the Marine Corps Band. She served an additional six years in the US Marine Corps Reserves.\n  \nWith a lifelong love of learning and a brilliant mind, Marsha pursued her education in Physics and Electrical Engineering. She earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Florida, a MS in Physics and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from NC Agricultural and Technical State University.\n   \nDuring her career she worked as an electrical engineer, an electrical physicist, and a professor of electrical engineering.\n   \nA deeply spiritual person, Marsha was also an ordained minister, and combined her love of science and spirituality in her unique teaching and healing practice.  Dedicated to serving God and her fellow man, she impacted many lives and was much loved. \n\nMarsha was a bright light that touched others with her wit, humor, and humility. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. \n  \nA Celebration of Life will be held this fall for Marsha, TBA. She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren Mike, Grey, Link and Elliana as well as her sisters Mary and Joyce. Meg was preceded in death by her parents James and Jean Furey, her brother James and sister Elise of Beverly, MA.\nMeg had several careers during her life including insurance claims analyst, restaurant manager and facilities manager. She was also very involved in the Raleigh community. She served in PTA leadership and as marching band mom for her kids. She also served as the co-chair of the Raleigh Saint Patrick's Day parade committee for many years. Career opportunities brought Meg and her husband to Raleigh from New England in 1991 and made her home here raising her children and grandchildren. Meg loved spending time with her family and dogs and enjoyed travel. \nA private memorial for family will be held on 8/28. Johnson, brother Quinby Collier Jr., sister Betty Shaw (Harold), daughter Kimberly Cothran, son David Champion (Kristy), stepdaughters Jennifer Johnson-Spence, Monica Johnson-Parkhill (Michael), Anna Bowen, and Rebekah Williams (Kevin), nine grandchildren including Michael Cothran, Jr. (Michelle), Norah Cothran, Makayla Champion, Kyndall Gray (Chase), Dalayni Champion, Madison Parkhill (Brooke), Merrick Parkhill, Ryan Williams, and Jacob Williams. Also surviving is her former husband Ron Champion.\n\nBeverly was born in Hampton, Virginia and graduated from the University of North Florida with both her Bachelor and Master degrees in Education. She was a lifetime educator and a principal in several schools.\n\nBeverly had an extremely caring personality and was an advocate for social justice issues during her lifetime.
