Cortese 65, died Sunday (September 5, 2021) at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham North Carolina. Born in Bronx, New York on November 12, 1955, son of the late Salvatore Cortese Sr. and Salvatrice (Dora) Cortese. Anthony lived in South Windsor as a child and moved around to different towns in Connecticut. He moved to Wake Forest North Carolina in 2002 and then moving his final residence to Durham North Carolina. Anthony (Tony) has touched many lives with his laughter and cutting jokes. He loved to make people smile and laugh. He was also an awesome cook and loved cooking for friends and family. Anthony also studied martial arts under instructor Benjamin Cortese where he achieved his 1st degree red belt. He had a long career in the blinds and window business, he worked at Croasdaile Village Senior living in maintenance and fleet transportation. He finished out his career until retirement as a Produce Specialist at Kroger grocery store and retired at the age of 62. He is survived by two daughter’s Krista Jones and husband Brian of Hartford, and Toni Cortese of Newington; four brother’s, Benjamin Cortese of Willington and two nephews Craig and Ryan, Dominick Cortese of Norwich, and four nieces Lisa, Lauren, Dominque and Doraleigh and nephew Gary, John Cortese and wife Debbie of South Windsor, and three nieces, Emily, Tia and Sara, Salvatore Cortese and wife Debra of Franklinton, NC, daughter Beth; two sisters, Carmela (Cortese) Davis and husband Gerald (Butch) of East Hartford and son Carl, Joann Cortese and husband Keith Gimmel of South Windsor. Also, several great nieces and nephews and longtime friend Kimberly Preble of Durham, NC. Marge managed the grill at Wildwood Country Club and later worked for IDS Financial.  She was devoted to her family at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church and served the parish in numerous volunteer ministries over the forty-five years she was a parishioner. Marge was a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many who loved the beach and the peaceful sound of the waves. She was an accomplished seamstress and wonderful cook whose food graced many receptions and dinners.  In addition to her parents, Marge is predeceased by her husband, Andrew M. Wood, Jr., a brother, Leonard Mannas, and a sister, Ellen Edwards.  She is survived by her children,  James (Tammy) Kuehl, Barbara (Bill) El Daly, Thomas Kuehl, and Joanne Pulley; step-children Andrew M. (Andrea) Wood, III and Vikki (Richard) Newell; a sister, Virginia Dickson; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.\n\nFuneral Mass is Wednesday, October 13 at noon at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church with inurnment at St. Raphael Memorial Garden and Columbarium immediately following the funeral Mass. She was loved by many in her hometown and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.\nHer name was Amber, a daughter, a mother, grandmother and friend.  We will miss her the rest of the days we have here on earth.  Amber passed away sometime in August of 2021 under unknown circumstances.  We never gave up the search to bring her home.  Born March 5, 1985 in Greensburg, PA, she was the daughter of Sharon (Baker) Johnston and the late Timothy Scott Johnston.  In addition to her mother, Amber is survived by her children, Dakota Rhome, Nevaeh , Courtney, and Jeffrey Thomas, and Noelle (Thomas) Luther.  She is also survived by a grandchild that she never got to meet.  Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  Amber will be laid to rest beside her beloved Grandma Bridgee and Pap Pap (Gene and Bridget Baker) at Hillview Cemetery in Greensburg , PA. He has one son, Sean Kiner.\nA celebration of life memorial service will be held at Raleigh East Airport in Knightdale on 11/6 at 2pm to honor his passion for flying and airplanes. \nJason worked for Xylem, Inc and graduated from Southern Vance High in 1993 and NC State University in 1999 with a BS in Industrial engineering. Jason was a beloved father, son, brother and dear friend to many. Jason lived his life fearlessly. Jason knew no strangers in the world. He loved traveling the world and seeing the places he dreamed of seeing himself. He loved recording music and was fascinated with cars. He made friends easily and was loved by many.  He had a fun and unique sense of humor. He had sparkling eyes and a warm smile and brightened up every room that he was in; flashlight in dark times. Kian is preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Alberta Kittrell.  He is survived by his parents, Scott and Cenith Kolek,  brothers, Christophe and Jared Kolek, sister, Kriselle Kolek, grandparents, Don and Sue Kolek, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A memorial service was held at Kings Park International Church in Durham. He was laid to rest at Raleigh Memorial Gardens. Blanke in Los Angeles, CA.  She grew up on a farm in Pavilion, NY.  Her love of animals began at a young age, and she was very active in 4H growing up.  She graduated from Pavilion Central School in 1966 and Ohio State University in 1970.  Adrienne was a teacher for over 20 years at Bolivar Richburg Central School in Bolivar, NY.  She was an active member of Obi Community Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.\nAfter retiring to Holly Springs, NC, Adrienne continued serving others by volunteering at a local food pantry and hosting Bible studies in her home.\nAdrienne was a loving mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, always laughing with them, encouraging them in their interests, and teaching them about Jesus.  Some of her favorite activities were reading, traveling, meeting new people, and walking her beloved dog, Sarah.\n​Adrienne will be remembered for her joyful, giving spirit, and for devoting herself as a mother, teacher, prayer warrior, and mentor.  Her greatest joy was to introduce others to Jesus.\n​Adrienne was predeceased by her mother, father, and her sister, Marianne Blanke.
