She was born July 13, 1959, in Kennett, MO – daughter of Russell Mullins & Mary Morrison.
Freida was a member of Church of God and had worked as a nurse for many years before retiring. She had a heart of gold and was always ready to go above and beyond to make sure every need was met. Her generosity knew no bounds, and it was evident in everything she did.
One of her greatest passions was gardening. Her gardens were not only the largest around but also bursting with fresh vegetables that she loved to share with everyone she knew. It brought her so much joy to give, and her kindness often extended well beyond her garden.
Another place that held a special spot in her heart was the beach. She loved to visit frequently, finding peace and happiness in the sand and surf.
Remembering Freida brings a smile to all who knew her, and her warmth, generosity, and love for the simple joys in life will always be cherished.
She was married to her high school sweetheart - Robert (Bob) Eugene McGee, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Russell (Fernanda) McGee of San Diego, California; four daughters, Bobbie (Thomas) McGee-Harms of Hernando, Mississippi, Pamela (Tucson) Biggs of Smithfield, North Carolina, Angela (Derek) Markin of Hernando, Mississippi, and Charolett (Allen) Wells; one sister, Janice Taylor of Greenfield, TN, and 13 grandchildren – Aiden, Arabella, Tucson Jr, Titus, Trinity, Logan, Riley, Corban, Nick, Caleb, Johnathan, Taylor, & Aodhan.
Along with her husband and parents, one son, Robert McGee Jr, and one grandchild, Lorne Gaskins, preceded her in death.

City of Oaks Funeral Home and Cremation provides an affordable cremation with a private family viewing. A private family viewing allows up to 10 immediate family members or friends to spend time with a loved one when a public visitation is not preferred.

An immediate burial has the same end result as a traditional burial; however, we have eliminated the extra (sometimes unnecessary) services prior to getting to the cemetery. Not everyone wants an open casket for viewing or a limousine for the family. Despite the term immediate, we can move as fast as you need or as slow as you like. This option simply allows you to save money by eliminating some of the fancy extras at the funeral home.

You might consider a traditional funeral service if your family is looking for an open casket visitation, a traditional church service or a funeral service in the funeral home's chapel.
